Johnny Smith

Johnny Smith is a proud native of Blairsville, Pennsylvania (a small town in rural Western, PA, where he learned the basics of country-livin'). He fancies himself a regular dude with an extraordinary imagination, and is an avid fan of comic books, science fiction, rap music and binge-watching shows.

After graduating from IUP (Indiana University of Pennsylvania), he moved to Philadelphia, where he spent ten years exploring a career as a stage actor, puppeteer, improvisor, and comedian. After a decade in Philadelphia, he recently moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he plans to continue his work onstage and beyond.

As a professional actor, Johnny has a wide range of credits and skills with a wealth of experience in Shakespeare, self-written one-man shows, and sketch comedy. Johnny is the founder of two different comedy groups: "The Company" - resident sketch troupe at Indiana University of PA (founded in 2006) - and "High Dramma" (a Philly-based group founded in 2009). Both groups are still currently active. Johnny also has experience working in indie film, most recently with the movie Shithead . Other accomplishments include a Barrymore Award of Excellence for Outstanding Ensemble (Inis Nua's The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning, 2016).

Erica Nicole Rothman

Erica Nicole Rothman, a Philadelphia native, got her professional start in musical theatre at the age of 16 with Theatre Horizon’s production of Spring Awakening. Since then, she has worked in various theaters in both the Philadelphia and New York area with a number of broadway professionals, including Hunter Foster, Matt Couvillon, Jennifer Cody, and Lauren Molina. Erica acted in and co-created a devised theatre piece called As We Journey From Mind to Mouth, directed by and starring broadway’s Daniel J. Watts. She has received nominations for her work in Xanadu (Broadway World Philadelphia best leading actress in a musical) and for Agatha Christie’s Cards on the Table (Syracuse Live Theatre Award best supporting actress in a play). At 17, she delved into film work when she joined the cast of Marc Brener’s The Rumperbutts, starring Vanessa Ray and Josh Brener, and continued to win other roles in various student and independent films.

Erica is currently in her final year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, an institution that has turned out the likes of Daniel Craig, Lily James, Orlando Bloom, and many more. While in London, she has been a part of the renowned Iain Burnside’s production of Swansong (featured on BBC radio 3), a workshop of a new musical Mascherato , and a reading of Matt, a play based off of the life of Matthew Shepard, the subject of The Laramie Project, written by his friend and teacher John Watts. In the upcoming year, she will be starring in Guildhall’s production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, as well as devising a new piece about the Grenfell Towers under the direction of Ameera Conrad, the director of the critically acclaimed play The Fall.

Anna Zaida-Szapiro

Anna Zaida Szapiro is an actor and writer based in NYC. Films include Shithead, In A New York Minute (coming 2019), Stray (winner, Best Local Short at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival), and the mockumentary comedy webseries New Faces of American Poetry. Recent stage credits: Mother Daughter Sisterwife at St Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, Nina in EgoPo Classic Theater's award winning production of Seagull, and two world premieres by playwright Emma Goidel. She received a BA from Wesleyan University in CT and trained in physical theater with Headlong Performance Institute in Philadelphia.

Bill Mellen

From Bill: “I have been in love with acting since the age of but only went professional 5 years ago. My career is going much better than I thought it ever could when I made my decision so late in the game. My range is that of the late Phil Hoffman and James Gandolfini as well as the current W. Earl Brown. I have done a number of student and short independent films as well as a major supporting role in a feature. Lately most of my work has been on TV. I have played detectives, as well as a couple of murderers, on Investigation Discovery and Discovery shows, as well as appearing in major and supporting roles on The Travel Channel, Animal Planet, Spike TV, and the Oxygen Network. Playing Walter Peacock in ‘Shithead’ is a high point in my career. Working with Mike Morelli was wonderful and we also had great talks about Cinema and directors when the camera wasn’t rolling.”

Carly J. Bauer

Carly J. Bauer performed in multiple New York City Off-Off and Off Broadway theatres for a few years before realizing she wanted to be "on the other side of the table." She is now a producer and casting director. She is president and founder of Carly J. Bauer Productions and Casting, in which she Executive Produced a sold out run of a "first rate revival" (Theatre Mania) of Bachelorette by Leslye Headland at Walkerspace/Soho Rep. Other producing credits: Fire On Flaming Roads (Arthur Seelen Theatre), Steppenwolf (The New School), the award winning one act - Between Men (Midtown International Theatre Festival), Broken City: Wall St, and INSIDE at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (PopUP Theatrics). She has cast for New York Musical Festival, DreamUp Festival, Columbia University’s MFA Film Program, The Player's Theatre, The Master Theater, The Working Theater, and several short films, including the award winning “Absent” having premiered at The Hamptons International Film Festival. Carly received her B.S. from The New School in which she curated her own major.

Timothy Day Slisky

Timothy Day Slisky is a ten year Navy veteran who is still serving his country as President of Destroyer Escort Sailors Association (DESA) national organization as well as heading up the New Jersey chapter of the same organization. He has performed on stage in several regional productions at the Count Basie Theatre is Red Bank, NJ as well as performing in the HBO mini-series “Show Me A Hero”. He has also acted in several films which include “Shithead”, “Price For Freedom”, The Girl On The Ledge”, and “Tom’s Dilemma”. He also appeared in a music video for the band Roofer’s Union. He has temporarily stepped back from acting to concentrate his efforts in leading up the DESA organization.

Sylvia Kochinski

Sylvia Anne Kochinski was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. She received a BA in Comparative Literature from the American University of Paris in 2008 and a Master’s in Film from EICAR in 2012. She has worked as an English and writing professor, set designer, actress, video vixen, and most recently, art advisor. She currently resides in Los Angeles. Tim Chivalette

Timothy Chivalette is an actor, stand up comedian and producer, known for Something, Something (2015), Glass (2019) and Made in Chinatown (2018) and Buck Run (2018). A consumate professional, Tim plays the roles of both Harvey Donut and Stabby D in Shithead and also served as an Assistant Producer when he wasn’t performing.

Justin Morieko

Justin Morieko is an actual self-hating Police Officer in an undisclosed New Jersey location. Hoping to expose Police Department abuses, Justin Morieko agreed to act in Shithead while on-duty and in between his time harassing minorities on behalf of the United States Government. He also served as Fight Coordinator on the film, choreographing all fight sequences and ensuring that whoever he was punching would not die from the impact.

Steve Carlsen

Steve Carlsen is an actor and time traveling wizard, known for Star Wars: An Idiot's Array (2017), Shithead and Leaky Thoughts (2016). He makes his Feature Film debut in Shithead as the samurai sword wielding drug dealer Murphy
